TMaxx USA - FAQ
PPF Color Lot Information
Every TMaxx PPF roll is produced in small color lot batches. Because of this, products ordered at different times may come from different color lots, and we cannot guarantee an exact match to a previous order. While variations are minimal, some batches may differ slightly in tone, shade, or finish. Your color lot is noted on the TMaxx warranty foil decal included with your roll, or printed inside the roll core. Keep in mind, all color PPF film, regardless of brand or source, will have similar color lot batch risk.
If you need additional film for an existing or returning project, please contact us and provide your color lot code. While we cannot promise a match, we’ll do our best to locate the closest possible lot.
To minimize visible differences on full vehicle wraps, we recommend wrapping vertical panels (hood, roof, trunk) last. In cases where a perfect match isn’t possible, slight differences are generally less noticeable on vertical surfaces due to the way they reflect light.
Can TMaxx PPF be install dry?
Yes! TMaxx PPF films feature our hybrid air-release technology, allowing for either dry or wet installation. The micro air release channeling is optimized with our adhesive for both application methods.
Wet install will always offer the most forgiveness when repositioning film, especially on larger panels. For dry installers, it is safe to also use a proper tack reducer as desired, to further improve maneuverability on panels.
We recommend using the method you’re most confident with.
